This course is designed for more technical audiences who have some experience with enterprise data management, but are new to using Infoworks. The material presented, and the quiz questions asked, will help you understand Infoworks, and begin orchestrating ingestion and transformation pipeline jobs using workflows.
Objectives
Introduction to Workflow Orchestration
- Describe how workflows coordinate ingestion, transformation, external target synchronization, and other tasks
- Describe the role of domains in coordinating users, data sources, and artifacts created to work with these data sources
- Describe how to create and configure new domains and users
- List available user roles, and describe options for integrating external authentication
- Describe how to associate data sources and cross-domain artifacts with a specified domain
- List and describe tasks available for coordination in workflows
- Describe how to create a new workflow and coordinate execution among tasks
- Describe how to build and run a workflow, whether directly, on schedule, or via API
